VE Day 80th Anniversary at St Simon’s Southsea

On Friday 2nd May 6pm to 9.30pm the Social Committee are to hold an event celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE day.
Our VE80 Variety Event is an evening to celebrate 80 years since the end of the 2nd World War in Europe.
There will be a small quiz; a comedy sketch starring members of our congregation; singing and dancing led by Natalie, a professional singer who performs regularly at wartime themed events, including the annual D-Day event at Southwick; a supper of Coronation Chicken, vegetarian quiche, salad and a slice of Spam, and closing with a VE Tribute and Prayer for Peace.
Please come along in 1940s gear if the mood takes you, and bring your own drink and glass, to save our volunteers a lot of clearing up at the end. We look forward to seeing you.
